About this onn 4K Streaming Box list
Header: onn 4K Streaming Box (2023, Walmart; device YOC, product onn_4k_gtv, Amlogic), 2 GB RAM
Google TV 14 (SDK 34), build URO4.260304.011.B1.15051976 Stock launcher: com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx. No HDMI inputs or Live TV (it's a box): leave live_tv_package empty in config.xml. Known quirks on this firmware: - Unlike the Chromecast on Google TV 14, port 5555 is open as soon as USB debugging is on; no pairing. - If a VPN app is connected, Settings > Network shows the VPN tunnel address, not the LAN one. Find the box with `nc -z <lan>.x 5555` or `dns-sd -B _adb-tls-connect._tcp local.`. - The Wi-Fi network saved during first setup belongs to setupwraith (dumpsys wifi: cname=...setupwraith). Forget and re-join it in Settings before disabling setupwraith, or the network is deleted. - As on the Chromecast, setupwraith's RecoveryActivity takes Home until setupwraith is disabled. - Unlike the Chromecast, the remote's app buttons and mic keep working with launcherx disabled (com.gretzky.GlobalKey handles them; keep it). No key-mapper workaround needed. Kept on purpose: Google Assistant (com.google.android.katniss), Cast receiver (com.google.android.apps.mediashell), onn update prompts (com.onn.updatenotification), com.gretzky.GlobalKey (onn remote app buttons), com.gretzky.hwinfo, com.droidlogic.* (Amlogic vendor: HDMI, picture, remote pairing), com.onn.bluetoothconnect, Play Store / Play Services, Gboard, com.google.android.tv.dfuservice (remote firmware updates), com.google.android.tv.remote.service (phone remote).
Before you run it: every package below is disabled, not uninstalled. Comment out (prefix with #) any line for an app you use. Never disable the Play Store, Play Services, the on-screen keyboard or the TV input services that play HDMI. Switch USB debugging off when you are done.

Apply the onn 4K Streaming Box debloat
Turn on Developer options on the TV (Settings → Device Preferences → About → press OK on Build seven times), switch on USB debugging and, if shown, Network or ADB debugging. Then, from a clone of the cleanyourtv repository on a computer on the same Wi-Fi:
export TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 # your TV's IP address
tools/venv/bin/python -I tools/tv.py --probe
tools/disable.sh examples/onn-4k-streaming-box-2023/debloat.txt Then build and install the clean launcher, which makes itself the default Home and rolls back if it fails:
TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 launcher/build-and-install.sh Prefer to let an assistant do it? Paste the cleanyourtv prompt into Claude Code with "onn 4K Streaming Box" as the model; it reads this list, checks each package on your TV and asks before anything that depends on your preferences.
Restore the onn 4K Streaming Box
TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 tools/restore.sh examples/onn-4k-streaming-box-2023/debloat.txt com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx The restore script replays the state recorded before the change, so Home goes back to the launcher that owned it. More in the restore guide and the Google TV debloat guide.
