About this CHiQ AI PONT (Google TV 14) list
Header: CHiQ "AI PONT" (Changhong, product GTVU65, device dangni), Google TV 14 (API 34)
firmware UKN2.241219.138.A1, security patch 2025-03-01, MediaTek mt5867. 1 GB RAM (MemTotal about 930 MB). 1920x1080 panel, UI rendered at 1280x720 (wm size override), 213 dpi. Not the same firmware as examples/chiq-ai-pont (DVB93CQ, Android TV 11): this is the Google TV 14 build, closer to examples/benq-e55-735 and examples/rca-ai-pont. Stock launcher: com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx (pass it as STOCK_LAUNCHER). Live TV: com.mediatek.wwtv.tvcenter.plus (has the LEANBACK_LAUNCHER entry; com.mediatek.wwtv.tvcenter has none). Already disabled from the factory: com.cltv.hybrid (iWedia TV app). Tested the same day on one set: Home opens, Netflix / YouTube / Prime Video / Apple TV launch, the Inputs menu still lists Antenna, Cable, Satellite, ATV, AV and HDMI 1-3, HDMI 1 switches. The home screen on the test set was a small custom launcher built from PROMPT.md, not launcher/ from this repo; the package list does not depend on which launcher replaces Home. After a reboot with this whole list disabled: com.mediatek.tv.service, tvinput and autopair start and stay up, the crash buffer is empty, the Input key opens the input switcher, Home opens the new launcher. Not a multi-day soak. KEEP, even though the names look like bloat: - com.mediatek.autopair: Bluetooth remote pairing (Airoha BLE service) and the volume receiver. - com.homwee.factory: handles input key broadcasts besides the factory menu. - com.homwee.dynamicbacklight (picture), com.mediatek.tv.service, com.mediatek.tvinput, com.mediatek.wwtv.tvcenter(.plus), com.gdch.android.tv.inputplayer, the globalkeyoverlay packages. - com.homwee.upgrade and com.homwee.dmt.upgrade: firmware updates. Quirks on this firmware, all checked on the TV: - With USB debugging on, network ADB answered on port 5555 straight away. - Home goes to com.google.android.tungsten.setupwraith/.RecoveryActivity (priority 1) once launcherx is disabled. It logs "Reenabling disabled home activity", fails, and only then falls through to the new home, adding a delay on every Home press. A third-party HOME filter is capped at priority 0, and `pm disable-user` on the RecoveryActivity component alone is refused for the shell (SecurityException), so the whole setupwraith package has to be disabled (listed below). - Inputs switch through com.google.android.tv.inputplayer/.player.PassthroughPlayerActivity (ACTION_VIEW on TvContract.buildChannelUriForPassthroughInput). Input IDs look like com.mediatek.tvinput/.hdmi.HDMIInputService/HW5 (HDMI 1-3 = HW5-HW7, AV = composite HW2). - HDMI and Live TV screenshots come out black (protected video layer). - The Wi-Fi pill shows the network name once ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION is granted; Location is on by default.
Before you run it: every package below is disabled, not uninstalled. Comment out (prefix with #) any line for an app you use. Never disable the Play Store, Play Services, the on-screen keyboard or the TV input services that play HDMI. Switch USB debugging off when you are done.

Apply the CHiQ AI PONT (Google TV 14) debloat
Turn on Developer options on the TV (Settings → Device Preferences → About → press OK on Build seven times), switch on USB debugging and, if shown, Network or ADB debugging. Then, from a clone of the cleanyourtv repository on a computer on the same Wi-Fi:
export TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 # your TV's IP address
tools/venv/bin/python -I tools/tv.py --probe
tools/disable.sh examples/chiq-gtvu65/debloat.txt Then build and install the clean launcher, which makes itself the default Home and rolls back if it fails:
TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 launcher/build-and-install.sh Prefer to let an assistant do it? Paste the cleanyourtv prompt into Claude Code with "CHiQ AI PONT (Google TV 14)" as the model; it reads this list, checks each package on your TV and asks before anything that depends on your preferences.
Restore the CHiQ AI PONT (Google TV 14)
TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 tools/restore.sh examples/chiq-gtvu65/debloat.txt com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx The restore script replays the state recorded before the change, so Home goes back to the launcher that owned it. More in the restore guide and the Google TV debloat guide.
