About this Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1 list

Header: Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1 (codename rango, product dune; Amlogic/droidlogic, 1 GB RAM, India), Android TV 11 (SDK 30)

firmware RTT0.210630.002.485 (Xiaomi/dune/rango:11/RTT0.210630.002/485), security patch 1 November 2025. Same firmware family as xiaomi-mitv-axso0 (ships android.autoinstalls.config.xioami.dangal). Live TV app: com.android.tv (also owns the input picker, .input.SelectInputActivity). Stock launcher: com.google.android.tvlauncher (the default, disabled by build-and-install.sh). Notes from this firmware: - USB debugging alone opens port 5555; no wireless-debugging pairing needed. - Sideloading works (pm install over the shell), and a third-party HOME app is accepted without a Xiaomi signature. setupwraith is installed but does not claim HOME here, so it can stay enabled. - PatchWall (com.mitv.tvhome.atv) also contains an InputSourcePopupActivity, but the Settings key opens stock TV Settings and the Inputs panel is com.android.tv's, so PatchWall is safe to disable. Settings, the Inputs panel (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, AV, TV) and HDMI switching were checked after each batch. - An injected KEYCODE_TV_INPUT is unhandled on this firmware; inputs are reached from Settings or the launcher. - Live TV with no channels tuned goes straight to a channel scan when opened (stock behaviour too). - Disabled state, the Home default and Private DNS all survive a reboot. The TV can come back on a different IP after a reboot (DHCP), so re-check TV_HOST. - Default IME is already Gboard; the Baidu-keyboard quirk from the Mi TV 4A doesn't apply.

Before you run it: every package below is disabled, not uninstalled. Comment out (prefix with #) any line for an app you use. Never disable the Play Store, Play Services, the on-screen keyboard or the TV input services that play HDMI. Switch USB debugging off when you are done.

Apply the Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1 debloat

Turn on Developer options on the TV (Settings → Device Preferences → About → press OK on Build seven times), switch on USB debugging and, if shown, Network or ADB debugging. Then, from a clone of the cleanyourtv repository on a computer on the same Wi-Fi:

export TV_HOST=192.168.1.50   # your TV's IP address
tools/venv/bin/python -I tools/tv.py --probe
tools/disable.sh examples/xiaomi-mitv-axfr1/debloat.txt

Then build and install the clean launcher, which makes itself the default Home and rolls back if it fails:

TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 launcher/build-and-install.sh

Prefer to let an assistant do it? Paste the cleanyourtv prompt into Claude Code with "Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1" as the model; it reads this list, checks each package on your TV and asks before anything that depends on your preferences.

Restore the Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1

TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 tools/restore.sh examples/xiaomi-mitv-axfr1/debloat.txt

The restore script replays the state recorded before the change, so Home goes back to the launcher that owned it. More in the restore guide and the Android TV debloat guide.

Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1 debloat FAQ

Is it safe to debloat the Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1?

How many packages does this Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1 list disable?

25 packages, grouped as: Xiaomi + Google telemetry; PatchWall, content rows, sponsored rows; Xiaomi background services; Personal choice: screen mirroring (Chromecast built-in kept) and more. Comment out any line you want to keep before running it.

Does the Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1 list work on a similar model?

Often, if the platform matches. Compare the device codename and firmware in the list header with Settings → About on your TV. The cleanyourtv prompt also checks each package on your own set before touching it, so a near match is a good starting point.

Will the Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1 get the Apple TV-style launcher?

Yes. After debloating, cleanyourtv builds its small native launcher (about 300 KB) and makes it the default Home, rolling back automatically if Home does not land on it.

How do I undo the Xiaomi MiTV-AXFR1 debloat?

Run TV_HOST=<tv ip> tools/restore.sh examples/xiaomi-mitv-axfr1/debloat.txt. It replays the record saved before the change. Full steps are in the restore guide.
