About this Philips 55PUS7503/12 list
Header: Philips 55PUS7503/12 (TP Vision TPM171E, device PH7M_EU_5596), Europe, 2018 model
Android TV 8.0.0 (API 26), firmware OC build 4718, security patch 2021-01-05 Board TPM17XE_96, MediaTek MT5891, armeabi-v7a, 1.9 GB RAM, 1920x1080. Fingerprint: Philips/PH7M_EU_5596/PH7M_EU_5596:8.0.0/OC/4718:user/release-keys This is the older TPM171E generation, not the Android 11 PH1M_EA_9970A platform in examples/philips-50pus8517 and not the Skyworth-built Google TV 14 Philips. Match the device, board and firmware before applying the list; package names shared across Philips generations do not imply that every package has the same dependencies. Stock launcher: com.google.android.tvlauncher Live TV app: org.droidtv.playtv Launcher config/theme: set live_tv_package to org.droidtv.playtv and add it to hidden_apps. Verified on the real TV: replacement Home, Netflix launch/return, HDMI 1-4, YPbPr and Live TV. The packages below remained disabled across standby and overnight use. This is still a draft: complete a several-day soak test before opening the PR. USB debugging alone opens ADB on TCP 5555. If the RSA authorisation prompt does not appear, fully restart the TV (not standby), return to Android Home and connect again. Kept on purpose: Chromecast (com.google.android.apps.mediashell), Google Assistant (com.google.android.katniss), Alexa, firmware updates, Ambilight/Hue, DLNA, remote/Bluetooth, Philips settings, tuner/HDMI services and every streaming app. In particular, do not disable org.droidtv.GlobalKey, org.droidtv.playtv, org.droidtv.xtv, com.mediatek.tvinput, com.mediatek.tunerservice, org.droidtv.tvsystemui or org.droidtv.settings. The newer Philips list identifies org.droidtv.candeebug + org.droidtv.gel as the DAC analytics pair; both exist here but remain enabled until they have been exercised on this older firmware.
Before you run it: every package below is disabled, not uninstalled. Comment out (prefix with #) any line for an app you use. Never disable the Play Store, Play Services, the on-screen keyboard or the TV input services that play HDMI. Switch USB debugging off when you are done.

Apply the Philips 55PUS7503/12 debloat
Turn on Developer options on the TV (Settings → Device Preferences → About → press OK on Build seven times), switch on USB debugging and, if shown, Network or ADB debugging. Then, from a clone of the cleanyourtv repository on a computer on the same Wi-Fi:
export TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 # your TV's IP address
tools/venv/bin/python -I tools/tv.py --probe
tools/disable.sh examples/philips-55pus7503/debloat.txt Then build and install the clean launcher, which makes itself the default Home and rolls back if it fails:
TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 launcher/build-and-install.sh Prefer to let an assistant do it? Paste the cleanyourtv prompt into Claude Code with "Philips 55PUS7503/12" as the model; it reads this list, checks each package on your TV and asks before anything that depends on your preferences.
Restore the Philips 55PUS7503/12
TV_HOST=192.168.1.50 tools/restore.sh examples/philips-55pus7503/debloat.txt The restore script replays the state recorded before the change, so Home goes back to the launcher that owned it. More in the restore guide and the Android TV debloat guide.
