Hitachi TV debloat FAQ

Can I debloat a Hitachi TV without root?

Yes. cleanyourtv uses Android's debug bridge over Wi-Fi and pm disable-user, which needs no root. On Hitachi sets it disables telemetry, content rows and preloaded apps, then installs a clean launcher.

Which Hitachi TV list should I start from?

Pick the list whose codename, chip and Android version match Settings → About on your TV. If none match exactly, the closest platform is a good start; the cleanyourtv prompt checks every package on your own Hitachi set before disabling it.

Will debloating my Hitachi TV void the warranty?

Nothing is flashed, rooted or deleted; packages are only disabled in the user profile and can be re-enabled from Settings → Apps or the restore script. Check your own warranty terms if in doubt.

What does a Hitachi debloat remove?

Across the 2 Hitachi lists, 38 package entries are disabled in total, mostly manufacturer analytics, recommendation and promo services, duplicate cast or share services, and preloaded apps.

How do I undo the debloat on my Hitachi TV?

Run tools/restore.sh with the same list you applied. See the restore guide.
